A most rewarding renovation job was a new kitchen built for a Victorian house restoration. The house in Wakefield, Rhode Island was a former state governors' summerhouse. The kitchen was designed and built the kitchen to the owners' specifications.
The kitchen was built around appliances bought by the customer. Work surfaces and appliances were arranged to make working heights and labor comfortable for the owner. The cabinet frames were beaded. Flush, inset, paneled doors were used throughout. Casework was birch plywood. All doors and face frames were made of hard maple for durability. Cabinet side panels were bead board.
The contractor did an outstanding job on the restoration of the house. Upon completion, the customer stated that the kitchen was the best room in the house. Pictures pending!
